The game featured intense puzzles, beautiful animations, and an engaging story many fans consider one of the best in series history. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Probably the best and most iconic Zelda game ever made, A Link to the Past for Super Nintendo has been remade and re-released many times throughout the years. With its beautiful 16-bit graphics, well-crafted storyline, intriguing dungeons, and challenging puzzles, this is a must-play for any fan of the series. This action-adventure game is considered to be one of the most influential games ever made and often appears at the top of many “greatest video game lists.” Also, note that the SNES version was also one of the first Zelda games to bring the franchise into a full 3D environment.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
At number two, we have the classic Ocarina of Time for the N64. This is arguably the most iconic game in series history, as it was one of the first 3D adventure games ever made. The game featured amazing graphics, a captivating story with strong characters, and some of the best locations ever seen in a video game up to that point. Not to mention, the game also introduced a new mechanic that allowed you to travel back and forth in time.
